Repairs begin on Littleborough children's playing fields after vandalism

Children’s playing fields off Hare Hill Road in Littleborough are undergoing repair after they were vandalised earlier this month.
Despite the damage, no football matches have been cancelled as Link4Life have been able to move the games to alternative pitches.
A spokesperson for Link4Life commented: “Our team have worked hard to offer the best pitches that we can provide for the numerous football matches that take place each week and it’s sad that this thoughtless incident has caused damage.
“Fortunately, we have been able to move football matches to other pitches meaning that they could continue and did not have to be cancelled.
“The surfaces have been repaired and a top dressing will be added to the affected areas this week, but they will only recover fully once the growing season commences in Spring.
“The matter has been reported to the police but if anyone has any information, they should contact 101.”
