One dog still missing after two stolen from Smallbridge kennels

Date published: 24 June 2017

One dog is still missing after two dogs were stolen from a kennel in Smallbridge on Saturday 17 June.

A lurcher and a terrier were stolen at around 5.15pm by two men who made off in a Renault Kangoo van. The van has ladders on the roof and a windowed sliding door on the left side, with panels on the driver’s side.

Team Sasha Dog Rescue has been working alongside the owners to recover their pets. The lurcher, Ronnie, has since been reunited with his owner after he was found in a garden in Littleborough but the smaller of the two, Roy, a two-year-old rusty coloured terrier, has yet to be recovered.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “Police were called to reports that a dog which had been stolen from Rochdale was being kept at an address in Leigh. Enquiries were carried out and there was no dog found at the address.”

If anyone has seen Roy, or has any information to his whereabouts, please contact Team Sasha Dog Rescue on 07398 171 984 or contact GMP on 101 quoting log number 1660 of 22/06/17.
