Council budget challenge - your opportunity to comment on savings proposals

Rochdale Borough Council has agreed savings of £159m over the past five years, with expected further savings of £17m over the next two years.

The Council has to make difficult decisions about which services it can continue to deliver, and needs the help and support of businesses and residents.

A short animation has been developed which shows the Council’s current financial position, why further savings are required, what savings have been made already, and how businesses and people can help further.

Budget Fixing Council takes place on Wednesday 1 March and this meeting of the full council will consider revenue and capital budgets, saving proposals and the level of council tax for 2017/18.
