Van smashes through garden fence in Heywood

Van accident Manchester Road, Heywood
A silver Peugeot van smashed through a garden fence on Manchester Road, near Walton Street, in Heywood.
Police closed the road and traffic was diverted for a short time.
A police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 1.00pm to a van which had driven through a fence and into a garden. The driver was taken to hospital by air ambulance.”
