Liz McInnes joins stars to record charity single tribute to Jo Cox

Date published: 06 December 2016

Liz McInnes, MP for Heywood and Middleton, has joined MPs from across the parliamentary spectrum and stars such as Steve Harley, Ricky Wilson, KT Tunstall and David Gray to take part in the recording of a unique protest single initiated by parliamentary rock band MP4 as a tribute to the late MP Jo Cox.

Ms McInnes said: "Jo Cox achieved so much, and her life is a lesson in the power and importance of compassion, empathy and love. It was an honour to take part in the recording of this single which I hope will help the very worthy causes she championed so passionately."

Sales from the song, a cover of the Rolling Stones classic ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’, will raise funds for the launch of the Jo Cox Foundation established after her death.
