Thursday 18 August

A man broke into Marks & Spencers overnight and stole items from the lingerie department. He was detained nearby and remanded in custody.

Wednesday 17 August


House keys were found in Rochdale Town Centre near to bus station and booked into property at Rochdale Police Station – call 0161 856 8549.

Monday 15 August

A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.

Three youths aged between 14 and 16 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after police were called out to a 'thieves on' at a business premises. The youths were arrested at the scene.

A 24-year-old male is currently in custody after being arrested on suspicion of money laundering, driving offences and drug offences.

Sunday 14 August


As a result of numerous complaints on the Darnhill Estate in Heywood about off road bikes and vehicles being used without being road legal, police spent the day clamping down on the problem.

Five arrests for drink driving and three arrests for driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.

Saturday 13 August

Officers found a white staffy dog near to Tesco Silk Street, Castleton. The dog didn’t have a lead or collar. She is approximately eight/nine years old and looks like she has recently had puppies. She also has some brown specs on her back. She has been collected by the dog warden and is not chipped.
