Cllr Dale Mulgrew says thank you
Date published: 18/05/2006
Following his success in becoming a councillor in Balderstone and Kirkholt Ward in the recent local elections, Dale Mulgrew has thanked those who voted for him and promised to represent all the residents of the ward with "vigour and fairness".
His full message:
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who voted for me in the recent local governmental elections for which I am deeply grateful.
Furthermore, I also humbly acknowledge all those electors who upheld their democratic right and chose to vote for an alternative candidate, or who didn't find the choice suitably appealing nor satisfactory for them to consider exercising their vote.
As your newly elected councillor I will strive to serve you, my constituents, to the best of my ability and represent your interests with vigour and fairness and be an unfailing voice for the area.
All of you will be satisfied to hear that I am not using this pause in the metropolitan calendar between the election and the first full council meeting as a resting period, having already settled into my new role last weekend and this week I have started answering constituent's complaints. Moreover, work has already begun to ensure the delivery of one of my election pledges within the self imposed thee month deadline.
Finally, this is an enormous responsibility you have bestowed upon me as constituents of the Balderstone and Kirkholt ward and one that I will take great pride in.
Thank you and I will not let you down.
Councillor Dale Mulgrew
