Charity football match at new stadium

Link4Life Manager at Springhill Sports Centre, Andrew Entwistle, is organising a charity football match in aid of the Mayor’s Charity, supporting the Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home, on Thursday 11 October, 2007.

This will be the first event to be held on the grass floodlit pitch in the centre of the Athletics Arena, constructed as part of the £1 million Sport England funded investment in new facilities at the school site. 

Teams competing will be from Link4life, Rochdale Council and Springhill High School. The games will be 11 a side and all three teams will play each other in 30 minute games with the top two then contesting a final. Any players that would be interested can contact Andrew on 01706 750894.

A small donation towards the charity will be asked from each player, and a 50p entrance fee for spectators.

Kick Off will be as close as possible to 5.30pm.
