An ethical Christmas with Fairtrade Christmas shopping
Date published: 11/12/2007
Rochdale is a Fairtrade Borough and the Rochdale Fairtrade market stall – staffed purely by volunteers from Rochdale’s Fairtrade Forum – aims to provide local people with a wide variety of ethically sourced goods including bags, jewellery, gifts, foodstuffs, etc.
A spokeswoman said: "Do your Christmas shopping with us this year and make this Christmas truly ethical. Come any time on Saturday. Come in your lunchtime on Friday, or ask us to bring a stall to your office, church, school, etc."
The stall is open every Saturday in Rochdale Exchange market but during the run up to Christmas it is also open every Friday – ideal for those working in Rochdale. They have a wide variety of ethically sourced, reasonably priced gifts, jewellery and foodstuffs for Christmas – certainly worth a look.
The volunteers can also bring the stall to your office, church or school (subject to availability).
