Meeting of faiths at Castlemere Community Centre

On Wednesday 8 February, 2006, the members of the Standing Advisory Committee on Religious Education (SACRE) which comprises people from various faiths, will be meeting with the Muslim Imams at Castlemere Community Centre, Tweedale Street, Rochdale. They will have the guided tour of  the Central Mosque on Castlemere/Mere Street.

Mr.Ghulam Rasul Shahzad, who is a member of SACRE, said: "I am very pleased that people from various faiths are meeting one another to break the barrier. This will have a very positive impact on the members of both relgious communnities. There is a need to work together and move forward.

"I thank all members of SACRE and the Imams of the mosques and hope that such meetings can take place frequently."
