Rochdale Christadelphians

Our Bible Hour this Sunday, 12 August at 4:30pm, is on the subject ‘The coming world ruler’. God has always had a plan for the earth – he wants the earth to be ‘filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea’ (Habakkuk 2:14).

Very early on in the history of humanity, God promised that there would be a descendant of Adam and Eve, who would crush sin, as symbolised by the serpent. This saviour was Jesus.

Daniel 2 speaks of a great image representing the kingdoms of the world, foretelling the great empires which rose and fell. This vision ends with a great stone that represents the kingdom of God, which then ‘filled the whole earth’. We are now at the last stage of the image – and Jesus will return soon.

Revelation chapter 11 verse 15 ‘The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.’
