RCT's Old £1 coin Appeal
Rochdale Connections Trust (RCT) has launched an appeal for old £1 coins to be donated.
Bev Place, RCT, said: “The coins ceased to be legal tender last October but our friends at Barclay’s Bank, Rochdale have agreed to accept them and donate the equivalent raised.
“We are asking people to take a few minutes to check gloveboxes, piggy banks, drawers, down the back of sofas, old wallets and purses to find forgotten about £1 coins that could still be used to make a big difference to the work of our charity in the local community.”
The appeal runs until 30 September.
