Rochdale singer Ellysse Mason has released her latest single, ‘Hunt Me Down’, ahead of her third EP launch later this year.

Speaking about the new track, the former Rochdale’s Got Talent winner said: “It’s quite different from my older music.”

Ellysse, from Syke, describes the upcoming fully-produced four-track EP, also titled ‘Hunt Me Down’, as ‘cinematic pop’ with a ‘London Grammar feel.’

She continued: “I knew what I wanted it to sound like, but I needed the right producer.

“I went to a guy called Mathieu Garcia, who absolutely nailed the sound that I wanted, and then took it to The Samsara Collective, who produced my last EP. They helped and coordinated the creative side of the project. I’ve completely rebranded and I’m so enthusiastic about releasing it.”

The EP will be released on 1 August with a launch party at the Deaf Institute.

Ellysse’s first EP ‘I’ve Been Thinking’ was recorded in her bedroom and released in December 2015, before her second, ‘Sage’, followed in October 2016.
