Staff at Food Warehouse to cycle from Sheffield to Rochdale for charity

Date published: 20 June 2018

Three staff members at one of Rochdale’s Food Warehouse stores are set to cycle from Sheffield to Rochdale on 21 June to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

As a company, the Food Warehouse is holding a sponsored cycle relay from the southern-most store in Chicester to the northern-most store in Clydebank, Scotland.

Gaz Lee, manager of the Whitworth Road store, will be joined by team members Matty Stewart and Jason Potts for the relay to Rochdale, one leg of the company’s challenge.

There will be events instore on the day, and the trio hope to raise at least £150.

Fellow staff member Susan Jones said: “We have gathered sponsors from friends, family and customers in-store.

“We have chosen Alzheimer's Society to support people with dementia, their families and their carers, to help fund a range of Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer's Scotland services.”
