Daisi Daniels has just been selected for the British Alpine FIS (International Ski Federation) Team for the 2018/19 season.

She we will be spending this summer in South Africa for her first U18s FIS Races and then the Australian Races, before going to Colorado, America for the winter season in October. We wish her luck in her venture.

Congratulations also go to Amy Hanson who has been selected to take part in the Music for Youth National Festival. This takes place at the Birmingham Symphony Hall.

The Principal, Mr Sartain, gave a simultaneous chess display over lunchtime. He took on twenty all-comers, winning each game. The pupils are desperate for a rematch later in the term.

In the Upper Prep Emaan Malek has earned his Ruby award. Emerald awards for 100 House Points went to Tierney Dutton, Emily Higginson, Imaan Afzal, Pieter Ayal-Mullock, Zidan Illahi, Aaron Waddington, Sami Hasan and Zak Gorton-Rigg. Lauren El-Hage should be congratulated on receiving her Sapphire award.

The House Point totals for the week are: Saturn 18, Mercury 13, Jupiter 4 and Neptune 4.

Pupil of the Week Certificates were awarded to:

  • Year 3 – Haider Khan & Saud Tabassam
  • Year 4 – Imaan Afzal
  • Year 6 – Aaron Waddington & Sami Hasan
