Date published: 19 March 2018

The winners of the Mark Salt Flag were the 1st Middleton (Boarshaw) pack, Andrew Singleton, James Marshall Oliver Hewitt and Kian McCarthy.

The Pennine District Cub Scouts 'Mark Salt Flag' was introduced into the district this year as the trophy awarded to the winning cub pack in a district wide 'Challenge Day'.

The Greater Manchester North County Scout Headquarters, Rochdale Road, Middleton was the venue for a large number of packs to meet and have their scouting skills tested and marks awarded.

At the 1st Middleton (Boarshaw) pack’s first church service in St Leonards Parish Church, Middleton the Revd’s Martin Short and David Brooks dedicated the flag and the young people duly paraded it at the church service.
