Date published: 27 June 2017

Centre of Wellbeing, Training and Culture (CWTC) held a Eid celebration at the centre on Tuesday (27 June), with four groups from the Gateway Leisure Centre.

Light refreshments were provided in the Wellbeing Café.

The event was attended by Deputy Mayor Zaman who said: “I am blessed to be here today and wonderful to see the mixed groups celebrating the Eid together.

“It’s nice to see smiling faces and happiness through music, dancing, singing and playing instruments.

“I can also see the efforts made by staff and praise their commitment.

“The arts do so much to improve people’s mental health.

“The new Wellbeing Café is providing an excellent place for activities for learning disabilities and older people.

“This centre continues to provide a great service to all communities and Mr Sarwar and his team will always have my support.”
