Matthew Moss supports ‘Stand Up to Bullying Day’

Date published: 26 June 2017

Matthew Moss showed their support for ‘Stand Up to Bullying Day’ which took place on
Wednesday 21 June.

Staff and students pledged their support by putting their handprint and signing their name.

The student team leading the event decided to use pink paint when they learned of a male
student in Canada who went to school wearing a pink shirt and was severely bullied because
of it. This was the starting point for the international ‘Stand Up to Bullying’ campaign.

Nicki Hewson-Betts, said: “It was a big success and we have been asked by some learners
who missed the opportunity if we are going to repeat it.”
