Well done to all those fantastic dads and children who entered into the reading competition. Prizes and certificates will be given out soon.

We are very sorry to be saying goodbye to Mr Walsh he is leaving us to take up a position at a larger school. We would like to thank him for the very positive contribution that he has made to Hamer over the past three years and wish him all the best for the future. Thankyou Mr Walsh - you will be missed by staff and children alike.

Thank you to those fabulous parents who recently came to the SEND parent group. We really appreciate all of your comments and feedback. A special thank you to our lovely translators Sobia and Samira. Next time, Justin Henderson will be coming to talk about what is available in Rochdale for children with additional needs.

During the current changeable weather please remember to send your child in with weather appropriate clothing. On hot days send your child in with a hat and apply sun cream before school. On wet days send in a coat, as the children may be still playing outside at break and lunchtime. Thankyou.

On behalf of everyone at Hamer, we hope that those of you celebrating Eid have had a lovely time with your families and friends.
