In April, arsonists targeted the new pirate ship equipment at the Caldershaw play area in Norden:

Mr Ellison said: “The Council is replacing the pirate ship that was burnt down, but residents in the area asked me to raise for extra play equipment to be installed.”

Approximately £1,025 has been raised so far, including a £500 donation from The Mayor of Rochdale’s Charity Appeal on behalf of Councillor Ray Dutton and his wife, Elaine, and a £250 donation from Andrea McCarrick from AJ Properties.
