St Cuthbert's RC High School

Date published: 20 April 2017

Over the forthcoming months, our Year 11 students will be gearing up for their final GCSE exams. The end is nearly in sight, and we are confident that all the hard work and preparation leading up to these next few months will be more than worth it.

School Council

St Cuthbert's Student Council have a very special opportunity for pupil voice to be heard within our school; our first Have Your Say Day.

HYSD will commence on Friday 28 April during form, break and lunch time.
Students should look out for the speech bubble signs on the playground! Remember: your voice, your choice.

LINC News

On Wednesday morning, we held the first of three creative media sessions for St. John’s R.C. Primary School. The Year 4 group were delighted to hear their fantastic radio broadcasts which we listened to via our state of the art classroom speaker system in the LINC. The students selected commercial adverts and songs to accompany their shows and included a jingle, selling points and an interview. All of which were planned and rehearsed here at St. Cuthbert’s. Each student took part in one of the six radio shows and then were given copies of the media files to share with the rest of the school. Well done St. John’s – we look forward to seeing you after the summer break.

Art

The year 11's are working hard on their final plans for their Art exam next week. Many of the GCSE pupils came in over the Easter break and made great progress on their work, which should really help with the final grade results.
