Date published: 15 April 2017
The Mayor of Rochdale, Ray Dutton, Roch Valley Radio's 48 hour broadcast.
Presenters are broadcasting live for a full 48 hours welcoming guests and involving patients in a packed, but fun Easter weekend to raise awareness of the station’s work and to raise funds.
Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk saw for himself, first hand, the good work the station does for hospitals in the area.
He said: “They do a great job and entirely self-funded by volunteers. I can’t praise their work enough and wish them all the best.”
A spokesman for the station explained: "The station is entirely self-funded and run by volunteers, broadcasting throughout a wide region for the benefit of patients whilst also being available online."
