Date published: 15 April 2017

Fisherfield Childcare nurseries children were thrilled to get a visit from Rebecca Rabbit, they all had some Eggtastic fun time.

Rebecca Rabbit joined in so many activities from making Easter greeting cards, face masks, flower crowns and the highlight for many was the Easter Egg hunt. At Sandbrook Park they had a carrot hunt instead and Rebecca encourage the children to have an afternoon snack of carrots and fruits yesterday.

Down the road at Edinburgh Way Easter Bonnet parade saw the amazing designs and a blast of colour from the children, one preschooler names his chicks after his grandparents budgies, Freddie and Eric. The children have been busy created all sorts of Easter decorations including painting rabbit, chicks and eggs to be taken home and some to decorate The Nursery.

In Norden and Bamford Rebecca Rabbit helped to hide the glitter Easter eggs and announced the egg hunt, the Little Farmers loved looking for the eggs in the sunshine. The preschoolers really like counting their eggs as well as telling Rebecca the different colours they had in their basket.

At the In School House the children were thrilled to see Rebecca and they had a good nose as they found all their 50 eggs in 5 minutes. They even persuaded Rebecca Rabbit to do the ‘Hokey Kokey’ and play some musical instruments together.

A spokesperson said: “The past week the theme has been Easter and we often have arts and craft, sing songs and outdoor play, so it has been a pretty normal day at the nursery. listen to some stories and make an Easter card to take home.”
