Sunshine preschool visit Hollingworth Lake

Date published: 20 March 2017

Sunshine Preschool Playgroup took advantage of the sunshine on Wednesday when children had a day out at Hollingworth Lake.

The children walked along the lake; learning new words as they looked at the environment surrounding them and walking independently and not being restricted by pushchairs.

The beautiful countryside enabled children to have lots of fun playing on the wood play equipment, jumping in muddy puddles whilst observing water activities and beauty of natural countryside in the surrounding area.

The children's enjoyment could be seen through delight on their faces and the mud on their clothes.

Shabina Kauser, Sunshine Leader said: "We made the most of the weather on that day; observing children’s physical development.

“Our parents will have plenty of mud to clean but the language and play skills our practitioners have observed has been amazing.

"We look forward to having more educational outdoor visits and encouraging parents to join in with their children.”

Sohail Ahmad, from Deeplish Community said: “We are proud to see children learning whilst enjoying an open and outdoor environment.

“This will help young children to improve health and wellbeing, physical development whilst getting ready for their educational challenges in school.

“This was the children’s first outdoor visit to Hollingsworth Lake visit as a group to develop confidence and improve wellbeing.

"We continue to provide excellence in early year’s education at Deeplish campus.”
