Junction Library thrives again

Date published: 14 March 2017

There was entertainment for all ages at Junction Library and Community Centre family fun day at the weekend.

Visitors enjoyed Lego competitions, puppet workshops, children’s storytime and interactive coding sessions. Bookstart Bear was also on hand to entertain the children and hand out free goodies.

It was another step forwards for the library and community centre in Middleton, which is thriving again after a take-up of recent activities.

Weekly attractions include Karate and Zumba classes, ‘knit and natter’ sessions and Lego and Dulpo clubs for youngsters.

Councillor Donna Martin, who has been instrumental in the library’s increased popularity, said: “It was great to see so many people calling in to see what the library has to offer. The library is a real community hub and I am proud of its upturn in fortunes. The successful family fun day was another step in the right direction.”
