Detectives make an arrest and appeal for more information following fatal stabbing in Rochdale
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal knife attack on Sussex Street during the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Police were called to the area at approximately 2.30am on 1 January 2025, and discovered a 38-year-old man on nearby Essex Street with a severe knife wound sustained during a street disturbance. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene.
