Get me to Rochdale Wedding Show on time

Date published: 16 March 2017

Rochdale Wedding Show returns to the town hall on Sunday 2 April - and final preparations are well under way.

High street retailer Marks and Spencer has renewed its association with the popular event and will stage catwalk fashion shows alongside Lavinia Rose Bridal Boutique and Denis Hope during the show, which also brings over 35 of the most beautiful, stylish and inspiring suppliers together alongside food tastings and live music. Doors open from 11am to 3pm and entry is free.

There will be local experts specialising in everything from stunning dresses, flowers and classic cars to photography, venue dressing, music, beauty, cake and everything in between.

Visitors will get the chance to see the Register Office, the ceremony room, Clock Tower Dining Room and take a Town Hall tour. Rochdale’s stunning Grade I-listed Town Hall is always a popular wedding venue and its picturesque gardens are the perfect backdrop for wedding photos.

Catwalk shows are at 12:30pm and 2pm, with models strutting down the runway in designer dresses to highlight the latest stunning collections, and acoustic pop songstress Gem O’Reilly will be singing live.

In between wedding planning, pop into the Clock Tower Dining Room for a complimentary glass of prosecco - light bites will also be available!

Experts will be on hand to offer you advice and answer all your questions. Whether you're looking for something traditional, would prefer a more contemporary theme, are planning an Asian wedding or a civil ceremony, they will help you put together your perfect wedding.

Councillor Janet Emsley, cabinet member for culture, health and wellbeing at Rochdale Borough Council, said:

“Rochdale Wedding Show will be another fabulous showcase for some wonderful local companies and a great day out for brides and grooms, their friends and families. I’m delighted to see how this event has grown over the years, it continues to offer the ultimate wedding show experience and, even better, is completely free to attend, no tickets required. A couple of hours spent at our show could save you many months of time and effort.”

Rochdale Wedding Show is at the town hall on Sunday 2 April, doors open at 11am.
