Date published: 09 November 2016

Hopwood Hall College is inviting all prospective students and apprentices to an open evening at both their Middleton and Rochdale campus on Wednesday 16 November.

Taking place between 4pm – 7pm, you will be able to apply for courses, speak to tutors and have a tour of their fabulous facilities. There will also be a designated higher education zone and representatives from the apprenticeships team too.

Practical learning

If you have had enough of sitting in a classroom and you would like to learn through practical experience, a BTEC qualification could be just what you’re looking for. With Level 3 courses equivalent to A Levels, they are a recognised pathway to higher education at university.

Hopwood Hall is also one of the highest performing colleges in Greater Manchester, with success rates that put them at the top of the league table for two year's running. They also excel on the sporting field and have a legacy of developing successful sportsmen and women including footballer Craig Dawson and double Olympic gold medallist boxer Nicola Adams.

Additionally, all Hopwood Hall students benefit from free gym membership, free breakfast, eight free bus routes and up to £30 bursary per week (terms and conditions apply).

Stay local > go far with a Higher Education qualification

Studying close to home has lots of benefits over and above the savings you can make on accommodation costs and university tuition fees.

Level 4 and 5 courses are not just a stepping stone to university, they enable you to develop your critical thinking skills, perfect research methods, hone your written and oral communication skills and you willl also meet people from a variety of backgrounds, with whom to collaborate, problem solve and much more.

If you hae a clear career goal and you aspire to reach management levels in your chosen field, a higher education qualification at Hopwood Hall will help you get to where you want to be.

Visit the college website for further details on the courses they offer and the financial assistance available towards tuition fees.
