Oulder Hill Open Evening - 22 September 2016

Date published: 15 September 2016

Hello, on behalf of all the staff, students, parents and Governors of Oulder Hill Community School; a highly successful school and a Centre of Excellence for languages in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. The school was graded as “good” by Ofsted in 2012 and as “outstanding” for how many parents would recommend it in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Oulder Hill is a very happy, caring and vibrant place to learn and teach. Over the years it has become a school of first choice and now has 300 in year 7. We care passionately about every student and have an ethos where every individual can, and does, thrive no matter what their starting point. Our shared vision is “our best, always, everywhere” and we are driven to giving every child the best possible start in life.

Our three main aims are to enable young people to become:

  • Successful learners who enjoy learning and make outstanding progress whatever their starting point
  • Confident individuals who are able to live happy, safe, healthy and fulfilling lives
  • Responsible citizens who make a positive and valuable contribution to society

On a day to day basis this means we have very high standards and expectations of all our students. We aim for every minute of every day to be an outstanding experience for all of our students through an “our best, always, everywhere, culture”.

Our Open Evening on Thursday 22nd September is designed to give you a flavour of what makes Oulder Hill such a special place and is a great opportunity to meet our wonderful students and staff yourself. We look forward to welcoming you on the evening. Alternatively, visits to the school are welcome throughout the year, appointments can be made via our Reception team.
