Get a taste for Rochdale’s Fruit Factory

Date published: 02 August 2016

Rochdale has a fruity secret – and it includes all the colours of the rainbow.

The Fruit Factory, a family run business, is a hidden gem with premises just off Dane Street. In a unit just minutes from the town hall, there is a workshop of fruit masterpieces.

'Bouquets', which are actually hand crafted exotic fruits, wait to go out to another wedding order, while champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries are being wrapped up for a birthday gift.

The orders are coming in thick and fast from clients around the country - yet The Fruit Factory remains somewhat unknown in its home town of Rochdale.

Owner Martyn Fishwick said: “We’ve been open for two years now and things are going really well.

“We specialise in fruit bouquets, chocolate-dipped strawberries, gift hampers along with weddings and corporate events.

"People love it, it’s a healthier, more unusual way to gift someone some chocolate or to impress at a wedding.”

For a special celebration, The Fruit Factory also offers special hampers with a bottle of something special, such as champagne or vodka, with chocolate-dipped strawberries.

Martyn added: “We get everything from birthdays to new baby celebrations to St Patrick’s Day themed green fruit displays. We can be flexible and it all adds to the fun of being creative.”
