Craft Delights comes to the Made in Rochdale Trade Fair
Date published: 23/02/2007
Rochdale crafters will be delighted by the new spring range of craft materials on offer as local business Craft Delights comes to Rochdale Town Hall as part of the Made in Rochdale Trade Fair on 6 March.
Craft Delights will be demonstrating and selling a whole range of exciting new craft equipment and materials for crafters of all ages.
The business was set up by Rochdale ladies, Ruth Percy and Barbara Crick in August of last year. Both ladies have been making cards and scrapbooks as a hobby for over five years, but only recently decided to turn it into a business venture.
So far Craft Delights sales have been mainly online and mail order, however the ladies joined Women in Enterprise last year and have been supported in their business development. Barbara has attended a financial and bookkeeping course through Women in Enterprise, whilst Ruth has attended networking events.
Ruth said: "As we enjoy making cards and scrapbooks as a hobby, we tend to sell materials which we love to use ourselves and which we think other people will enjoy using to create their own crafts. Since we started our business in August we have had very positive feedback from many of our customers. We believe everyone can be creative no matter what age, so we offer fun craft activities for children’s groups as well including Easter Eggs to paint and photo frames to decorate."
The Made in Rochdale Trade Fair is hosted by Women in Enterprise and will be from 10am – 6.30pm on Tuesday 6 March in Rochdale Town Hall. Entry is free and all are welcome.
