Townhead Post Office opens at new location

The new Townhead Post Office
Townhead Post Office has opened at its new location of 142 Yorkshire Street, a few doors up from the old site at 120 Yorkshire Street.
The relocated Townhead Post Office is operating as a local style branch, with Post Office services provided from two serving points alongside the retail counter.
Sarah Cottrell, Post Office Network Manager, said: “We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”
Opening hours are Monday to Friday: 9am – 5.30pm; Saturday: 9am – 12.30pm. This is an additional 21 hours of Post Office service a week as the branch was previously only open weekday mornings.
The previous branch at 120 Yorkshire Street, Rochdale, closed with the Postmaster’s agreement on Monday 26 July.
