Zen scoops 5 of 11 categories in Broadband Genie Awards

Date published: 10 April 2020

Rochdale-based  internet service provider Zen Internet has been named as the winner of five of eleven categories in the Broadband Genie Awards this week.

Thanks to its overall performance in all areas, Zen was awarded the best broadband provider for 2020, as well as most recommended provider, most trusted provider, fastest superfast provider (downloading), and fastest standard provider (downloading).

zen.co.uk also ranked highly in another three categories: best customer care, fastest superfast provider (uploading), fastest standard provider (uploading).

Georgina Lord, Managing Director, Zen Retail said: "To have won five of the Broadband Genie Awards this year is just fantastic.

"To get top prize of Best Broadband Provider is a real honour and testament to our efforts to consistently provide our customers with the best possible service year round.

"At Zen we take a different approach, putting people at the forefront of everything we do and we take pride in providing customers with an exceptional service. But this is not the case industry-wide where poor connectivity and bad customer experiences continues to plague our industry.

"With the Government pledging to invest £5 bn to roll out high speed broadband and unlock world-leading connectivity, there is an onus on all providers to step up and provide the products and services UK consumers deserve.

"As a responsible and reliable broadband provider we are constantly evaluating our service offering to ensure that we continue to be voted the best and most reliable internet provider in the UK."

The awards are the result of a survey conducted by OnePoll and Broadband Genie of 4,337 UK broadband customers.

Each respondent to the survey was asked to rate their provider for customer care, value for money, trustworthiness, and also whether they would recommend their provider to friends and family. The percentage scores below are the number of positive responses received for each ISP.
