Rochdale became the birthplace of the modern Co-operative movement in 1844 when the Rochdale Pioneers opened their shop in Toad Lane.
To celebrate 2012 as the International Year of Co-operatives, this guided walks programme, led by a Blue Badge Guide, will show you around Co-op related sites in Rochdale town centre.
These free walks based on the Heritage Trail, will include a quick tour inside the Pioneers’ Museum, subject to when it opens and availability.
