The Fairy House Building Project

The Fairy House Building Project will run again on Sunday 26 May (that's the May Bank Holiday Weekend) from 11am.

For this event we have a prize sponsor Bows R Us (UK) who will be designing and awarding TWO prize winners (boys and/or girls) with a bespoke made to measure costume.

Bows R Us (UK) specialises in the production of beautiful children's costumes and your child could walk away with one of the two main prizes simply by coming along and building a Fairy House in the Dell made from natural materials such as twigs, leaves, branches, pebbles etc.

Entry is FREE of charge and ALL children will receive a certificate on completion as well as free membership to the HDHC Junior Members Club.

NSPCC Charity Open Day

Queen's Park Heywood Car Boot Sale

If you want a pitch at the car boot sale please arrive between 11 - 11.30am to buy ticket and set up stall in the tennis court (Maximum 50 cars allowed).

Fees: £10 for Cars and £12 for Vans.

Rules and Regulations Please read these rules carefully. Any infringement of the rules could lead to a permanent ban on trading at the Car Boot Sale. • Strictly no new items to be sold • No counterfeit goods to be sold. • No weapons to be sold. • No Tobacco or Alcohol to be sold. • All unsold items and rubbish must be taken off site at the end of the day. • All sellers must be off the site for 4pm. (In some circumstances the boot sale may finish early e.g. adverse weather conditions, this will be down to the managements discretion)

Organised by the Friends of Queen’s Park Group in conjunction with Rochdale Council.

Rochdale Cats Protection with Pets At Home Fundraising Weekend

Rochdale Cats Protection are delighted to let you know that Pets at Home have kindly granted Cats Protection a three day fundraising weekend across all of their 340+ stores from 7th to the 9th June.

All funds raised over the weekend will go to Cats Protection. For the three day weekend all Pets at Home stores will be: • Offering “round up to a pound” at the till. • Taking donations at the till. • Selling Cats Protection Paw Print pin badges. We will also be giving out Cats Protection freebies over the weekend and selling Scratch Cards. We hope you are able to come along and support this event.

CAP Money is a course devised by the award winning debt counseling charity, Christians Against Poverty.

Norden Carnival

Established in 1977, Norden Carnival takes place every June and raises money for charity and good causes in Norden and Rochdale. The theme for Norden Carnival this year is 'My Favourite Story'.

The procession leaves Caldershaw School at 1pm and goes up Edenfield Road through the village to the Bus Terminus and then returns turning down Shawfield Lane to finish at Norden School.

At the school, there's always a selection of food and refreshments, fairground attractions, bouncy castles, craft stalls and other entertainment and activities until 4.30pm.
